Why “Blu”
Blue has always been the unofficial color of our family, it’s a small thing, but it’s ours. When it came time to name the business, “Blu” felt right, a nod to that family tradition, spelled a little differently to stand out. It’s a simple story, but it’s the real one.
The Blu Junk Removal Story
Growing up is expensive. As our kids started hitting big milestones, we were looking for ways to help them reach their goals. One decided she was going to get married, and two others were looking at college.
I had a truck and a strong(ish) back, so I started looking at potential side jobs. When a friend needed some space cleaned out, it became obvious that junk removal would be a good fit.
What started as a way to help make things happen for my kids turned into something more. It turns out there is a lot of junk to move in Cypress. And what’s more, I even get to work alongside some of my kids doing it.
This is Blu Junk Removal.
A Bit About Ian
Ian, the owner of Blu Junk Removal, has spent over 25 years in full-time ministry, including nearly eight years as a missionary in Spain, and is currently the founding pastor of Resurrection Church in Cypress. That background shapes how we approach this work, especially jobs that come with a story behind them, an estate cleanout after a loss, a hoarding situation, a family going through a hard transition. We try to bring patience and care to those jobs, not just a truck and a trailer.
How We Work
We recycle and donate whenever we can, so clearing out your space doesn’t mean everything ends up in a landfill. Our pricing is based on how much space your items take up in our trailer, and we give you a clear estimate before we start, no surprises at the end. When we make an appointment, we keep it.
From single-item pickups to full property cleanouts, residential or commercial, we handle it all with the same approach: show up, do the job right, and treat your space and your time with respect.
